







Nebulite E-Commerce Case Study
The features we thought would be most important to design.

Outfit Planning and Anticipation: The Costume Enthusiast dives into his extensive wardrobe, selecting the perfect Kimono. The anticipation grows as he visualizes the overall look and imagines the positive reactions from friends and other festival-fashion lovers.
Online Shopping: Navigating through Nebulite’s website on his laptop, the joy decreases as he sees the price. He decides to get more details for the FannyPack and is curious about the features it should have to justify the price.
Confusion and Slow Loading Time: However, the joy is over when he gets confused due to a cluttered website format. Slow loading times add a touch of frustration. The Costume Enthusiast starts to feel a bit distracted and decides to not buy the product.
Discovery and Excitement: Excitement builds as he discovers an upcoming festival. He explores the event details and sees the opportunity to showcase his unique style.
Inspiration and Happy Exploration: To complement his existing collection, he explores on Instagram a style of unique fiber optic clothing from Nebulite. The happy exploration of innovative and sustainable options adds excitement.





The aim of the sitemap was to organise the nav bar to make finding important information and different products quickly.
The user flow we that decided would display the design and improvements the most clearly was to go from home screen to product page of their most popular product.
Mid-Fi

The nav bar does not have clear names for their sections. It is quite unconventional to not have the different types of clothing labelled on the nav bar.




These buttons are inconstant in size and do not match any type of brand colours. Not to mention they are quite harsh and ugly with their sharp edges.

We interviewed our client, who told us his main competitor was Your Mind Your World. He said he had not done any user testing and used his personal bias when designing his products and website. We found many things that could be changed with the website but needed to focus on a few key elements. He talked about his products saying that the fanny pack was the most successful product as the others were too expensive to make. He also mentioned that he was planning to cut out a lot of the stock and focus on fewer items.

User interviews
From our user interviews we learned that many people had a problem with the price of the clothes being much too high. We realised that the product was not geared towards the average party goer so we adapted the user persona to not reflect our user interviews. However we did show the website during the user interviews and all of them commented that the website looked ‘cheap’.
Introduction
We started with secondary research into the competition and found that there are similar sized businesses but they focused more on rave and fetish wear. The items sold on nebulite are unique as the owner of the business manufactures them with a handful of employees.

For the product page our client had many pictures taking up a significant amount of space on the screen. He listed all the information about the product on the right side in a column that was difficult to read and felt unorganised. We decided to keep the pictures in a dedicated space that can scroll, also a cool feature to switch from night to day to see what the product looks like at night and day. Next we added toggle buttons for the add-ons and a clearer area with icons for the key features.

Auf dem Festival wurde ich ständig darauf angesprochen :) Sie hat viele kleine Taschen zur Aufbewahrung von allerlei Dingen. Ich habe zwar nur eine einfache kleine Powerbank benutzt, aber die Bauchtasche hat wenig davon gezogen, was ich gar nicht erwartet hatte. 5 Sterne auch für den tollen Kundenservice. Abwicklung ging schnell und problemlos, zudem sehr freundlich <3 Werde NEBULITE definitiv weiterempfehlen! Die Bauchtasche war auch nicht das letzte Produkt, was ich hier gekauft habe. :)
