My name is David Can and I am a UX/UI designer, currently living in Berlin.
Background
Having lived in 6 countries throughout my life, I come from a multicultural and international background. Like my name, I am half Welsh and half Turkish. In the way that this combination is unique, so are my skills and abilities to empathize and interact with people from all around the world.
My colleagues have told me that I am
warm, supportive, intelligent, and open-minded.
Education
My university career has been as eclectic as the places I have lived in. Driven by curiosity, I have attended three universities to study digital Art, Computer Science, Political Science, and Psychology. Being passionate about every one of these fields, UX/UI is the perfect fit to bring my passions together and combine my varied skillset.
Skills
My exceptional skills in understanding group dynamics quickly and effectively are the result of my focus on social psychology at university, which has also greatly contributed towards nurturing positive work environments. I can easily identify different individuals' strengths and can distribute tasks to make group projects streamlined while including everyoneeffectively.
I have spent my entire life surrounded by people who are not native English speakers, which has made me patient and experienced in understanding messages that might not be precisely formulated. In high school and university, I did a lot of public speaking, so I gained significant confidence to speak and present while engaging my audience.
The field of UX/UI is an incredibly engaging industry where people from different educations, cultures, and careers can come together to create the interfaces of tomorrow. For this reason, I cannot wait to contribute my knowledge and personality to projects where we will create great things.
